Greetings to all fellow English teachers!
As English teachers and lecturers, we are all expected to look for opportunities to network and grow professionally. Thus, we would like to invite you to join TEFLIN Kalimantan Timur Chapter, a group that seeks to support and develop teachers’ and lecturers’ skills and knowledge.
As a chapter, we hold regular events such as seminar and workshops with varying topics annually. We have panelists who share information and research that keeps us up to date on the current state of affairs in the field of English education; these range from topics on grammar, teaching resources, teaching experiences, and ideas, class management, to technology and culture.
If you are keen on finding activities for your classes and learning specific skills, we also have hands-on meetings such as workshops, idea swaps, and reflective practices where we share what has been useful, what works for our students, and how we can improve. Some of us may be hesitant to share, ask questions, or socialize, especially when a pandemic strikes our country. And it was undeniable that the education field, as well as the teachers, felt the impact. However, no matter how long we wait for the pandemic to end, the world of teachers never stops evolving. We want to volunteer, present and share ideas and activities, or develop our leadership skills over time because we believe teachers are the key to making our world a better place. We want to fill a conference void in our professional path. We have started arriving to point you in the right direction.
We have something for you, whether you are a soon-to-be teacher, a new teacher, or have been teaching for a while. Our mission is to assist one another in becoming better teachers. If that sounds like something you would be interested in, please come to some of our free meetings and consider becoming a member of TEFLIN Kalimantan Timur Chapter and supporting us.
If you would like more information, please feel free to email.
I hope to see you in the future.
