TEFLIN Conference Proceedings
The 2022 conference was a joint international conference of the 20th AsiaTEFL – 68th TEFLIN – 5th iNELTAL, organized and hosted by Universitas Negeri Malang, Indonesia. It was held from 5 to 7 August 2022 in hybrid mode. The conference theme was Hindsight, Insight, and Foresight in ELT in Multilingual Asia. The conference’s ISSN proceedings can be accessed below.

The 67 TEFLIN & the 9 ICOELT 2021 conference aims to bring together leading researchers, scholars, teachers, and students from all over the world to share innovations and new trends realized in their experiences and their current research results and learn from each other on several aspects. The theme of the conference is “English Language Teaching and Learning beyond the Border: Humanity, Innovation, Technology, and Communication”. This general theme is intended to accommodate various interests and expertise in the field of ELT, and Linguistic and Literary Studies.
This year’s TEFLIN International Conference was held in Medan, from 8 to 10 August 2019, and was arranged by TEFLIN and Universitas Negeri Medan. The conference was held together with English Language Education Expo 2019 covering the theme: Learning English as a Global Lingua Franca and Intercultural Communication to Embrace Industrial Revolution 4.0: Policy, Pedagogy, and Assessment.
This year’s TEFLIN International Conference was held in Makassar, from 12 to 14 July 2018, and was arranged by TEFLIN and the English Language Department, Universitas Negeri Makassar. The conference was held covering the theme: Sustainable Teacher Professional Development in English Language Education: Where Theory, Practice, and Policy Meet.
This year’s TEFLIN International Conference was held together with the 15th AsiaTEFL in Yogyakarta, from 13 to 15 July 2017, and was arranged by AsiaTEFL, TEFLIN, and the English Language Education Department, Yogyakarta State University. The conference was held covering the theme: ELT in Asia in the Digital Era: Global Citizenship and Identity.
This year’s TEFLIN International Conference was held in Surabaya, from 8 to 10 September 2016, and was arranged by TEFLIN and the English Language Education Department, University of PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya. The conference was held covering the theme: Creativity and Innovation in Language Materials Development and Language Teaching Methodology in Asia and Beyond.
The 62nd TEFLIN International conference was held in Denpasar, Bali hosted by Universitas Udayana, from 14 to 16 September 2015. The conference’s theme was Teaching and Assessing L2 Learners in the 21st Century.

This year’s TEFLIN International Conference was held in Solo, from 7 to 9 October 2014, and was arranged by TEFLIN and the English Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Sebelas Maret University. The conference was held covering the theme: English Language Curriculum Development: Implications for Innovations in Language Policy and Planning, Pedagogical Practices, and Teacher Professional Development.
