The Non-Formal Division successfully held a Pengembangan Kompetensi Guru Bahasa Inggris (PKGBI) program on 14 June 2026 at LBI FIB UI. The event brought together 17 English teachers from LBI FIB UI, LB LIA, Bimbel Nurul Fikri, Mentari Groups, and ILP to strengthen their competencies in response to the recent implementation of Tes Kemampuan Akademik (TKA).

This professional development program aimed to enhance teachers’ reading competence, deepen understanding of TKA reading demands and formats, and equip teachers with the skills to design effective and valid reading test items.

Led by Sisilia Setiawati Halimi from Universitas Indonesia, Evynurul Laily Zen from Universitas Negeri Malang, and Sary Silvhiany from Universitas Sriwijaya, the sessions covered key topics such as teaching strategies for Textual, Inferential, and Evaluative/Appreciative Questions. Participants engaged in interactive workshops, collaborative tasks, and hands-on test item development, while also sharing insights from their own teaching contexts.

By the end of the program, participants reported increased confidence in aligning their teaching and assessment practices with TKA requirements, as well as gaining practical strategies to support students’ reading development.
