TEFLIN Riau & Kepulauan Riau Region, in collaboration with the English Language Center (ELC) of Universitas Internasional Batam, is pleased to organize an academic workshop entitled “Validating and Aligning English Language Assessment Instruments.” This workshop is designed as a professional development forum for English language educators, lecturers, and assessment practitioners.
The workshop aims to enhance participants’ understanding of the principles and practices involved in validating and aligning English language assessment instruments. Particular emphasis will be placed on ensuring that assessment tools are aligned with established evaluation standards and intended learning outcomes, thereby supporting fair, reliable, and meaningful assessment practices in English language education.
The workshop will feature two speakers: Dr. Nur Aisyah Zulkifli, M.Pd. (UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau | TEFLIN Riau Islands) and Kurniawan, M.Pd. (Universitas Lancang Kuning | TEFLIN Riau & Riau Islands). The session will be moderated by Hendra Nugraha, M.Hum., Head of the English Language Center, Universitas Internasional Batam.
The workshop will be held on Thursday, 29 January 2026, starting at 13:00 WIB, and will take place online via Zoom Meeting.
