The TEFLIN Lampung and Bengkulu Chapter successfully held Meet and Greet Editors, a webinar aimed at helping students, lecturers, and academics transform their undergraduate theses into publishable scientific articles in SINTA-indexed journals. The event, held on Wednesday (February 12) via Zoom Meeting, received enthusiastic participation from attendees representing various universities.

The webinar featured experienced speakers in the field of academic publication, including Rafista Deviyanti, M.Pd. from UJET, Universitas Lampung; Satria Adi Pradana, M.Pd. from the English Education Department, UIN Raden Intan Lampung; Dr. Urai Salam, M.A. TESOL from JEEP, Universitas Tanjungpura, Kalimantan; and Waslurachim Safitri, M.Pd. from TELLE, Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu. Other editors who also joined the session were Atikah Wati, M.Pd. from Wiralodra English Journal, Universitas Wiralodra Indramayu; Dowi Ratna Ningsih, M.Pd. from ELSA, Universitas Muhammadiyah Kotabumi; Softika, M.Pd. from SMART, Universitas Muhammadiyah Pringsewu; Lan Harum Prasasti, M.Pd. from Edu Partner Indonesia; and Gali Alrajafi, S.Pd., M.Pd. from SIGEH ELT, Universitas Muhammadiyah Lampung.

The event opened with remarks from Prof. M. Zaim, Vice President of TEFLIN, and Dr. Dedi Turmudi, S.Pd., M.A. TESOL, Coordinator of the TEFLIN Lampung and Bengkulu Chapter. In their speeches, both emphasized the importance of academic publication as an integral part of scholarly development, particularly for students seeking to turn their theses into meaningful contributions to scientific discourse.

During the main session, the speakers shared insights on techniques for writing academic articles, the editorial process, and strategies for having papers accepted by reputable journals. The interactive discussion between participants and presenters created a dynamic learning atmosphere, where many questions and challenges related to the publication process were directly addressed by the experts.

As a token of appreciation, participants who attended the webinar received an 8-credit-hour e-certificate. The event is expected to have a positive impact on students and academics by enhancing the quality of their research and encouraging more scientific publications in reputable journals.

With the success of Meet and Greet Editors, UM Metro and TEFLIN reaffirmed their commitment to continue organizing similar programs to support academic development and foster scientific literacy across Indonesia.
