As an English teacher who is constantly studying and expanding my teaching skill, I am thrilled to have the chance to participate in the 2023TEFLIN Teacher Award selection, especially since I have been an active TEFLIN member since 2022. To my surprise, I was selected as 2023 TEFLIN Teacher Grant. I felt super excited and my heart was full of happiness when I read the announcement that I had been waiting for. In addition, I received several excellent rewards, one of which was free admission to an event I was really interested to attend, the 69th TEFLIN – 3rd EEIC International Conference.

This award certainly makes me and people around me very proud, the people I love, the school where I serve and work, as well as the various parties who have supported me all this time. This award proves that their support has provided excellent results and of course adds enthusiasm and motivation for all of us to be able to try to be better in teaching English. English teachers must have a strong desire to increase their own capacity to create positive impacts on students.
Attending the 69th TEFLIN – 3rd The EEIC International Conference opened my insight regarding the application and use of technology in the learning process, especially in the Merdeka/emancipated learning curriculum which is currently being promoted in Indonesia. This conference presented many experts and academics in the field of English Language and Education from various universities in Indonesia, TEFLIN Board, Regional Language Office (RELO), British Council, Regional Language Centre (RELC), and the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology.

I am very grateful for the results of the TEFLIN Board’s decision to appoint me as one of the winners of the 2023 TEFLIN Teacher Award. It is my sincere hope that this award will serve as a remarkable source of inspiration for English teachers, encouraging them to constantly strive for personal growth and development. Teachers of English can so cast their votes for this honour. Positive self-perception and a positive outlook on their students will undoubtedly have a good effect and raise student accomplishment levels.
Furthermore, special thanks to Prof. Zulfadli Aziz, the chairman of the event and Prof Utami Widiati, the President of TEFLIN and all the committees who had successfully conducted this event. Lastly, once again, English teachers, please never stop being passionate about growing and getting better.

Warm Regards,
