Banjarmasin, Wednesday, May 25, 2022. TEFLIN Kalimantan Selatan Chapter collaborated with STKIP PGRI Banjarmasin, UIN Antasari Banjarmasin and UPT Bahasa ULM held an online seminar with the topic of Review and Successful Stories on MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka). The event was conducted online which meant every participant could join using the Zoom cloud meeting application. The event discussed experiences about MBKM practices by three prominent speakers. The speakers were Yanuar Dwi Prasetyo, M.A., Ph.D., Prof. Dr. Martin Kustati, M.Pd. and Didin Nuruddin Hidayat, M.A., Ph.D. The first speaker was Yanuar Dwi Prasetyo, M.A., Ph.D., the coordinator of Kampus Merdeka, a Representative from Ministry of Culture and Education, Indonesia. He is also the Director of MBKM Bandar Lampung University. The second speaker was Prof. Martin Kustati, M.Pd., the rector of UIN Padang. The third speaker of the event was Didin Nuruddin Hidayat, M.A., Ph.D., the head of English Language Education Study Program of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah. The event also invited Prof. Dr. Fatchul Mu’in, M.Hum. as the head of UPT Bahasa ULM and Dr. Hj. Dina Huriaty, M.Pd. as the head of STIKIP PGRI Banjarmasin to present their speech and also to open the event.

Moreover, the event was led by Agustina Lestary, S.Pd., M.Pd. as the master of ceremony and Kuzairi, M.Pd. as the moderator. This online webinar was aimed at sharing and discussing successful stories and reviews of MBKM from other institutions. There were around 200 participants attending the session. The first speaker was Bapak Yanuar Dwi Prasetyo, M.A., Ph.D. He delivered the reviews of MBKM in the scope of the Ministry. He added and explained some of the policies, rules and systems in the MBKM programs. Lastly, he also gave his stories in guiding and helping universities in Indonesia to run the program. The second speaker was Prof. Dr. Martin Kustati, M.Pd. who mostly shared the stories and experiences of her Institution, UIN Imam Bonjol Padang, in running the MBKM program. She delivered the system and procedures of MBKM and also the obstacles she faced when running the program. Finally, Didin Nuruddin Hidayat, M.A., Ph.D. shared his insights in implementing the program in UIN Syarif Hidayatullah, Jakarta. He shared some obstacles he faced during the implementation of MBKM as well his experiences in running the program in his institution.
