Prof. Utami Widiati was invited to the 18th Annual CamTESOL Conference on English Language Teaching as a plenary speaker discussing “ELT in the Post-Pandemic: Future Challenges and Opportunities in the Region”.
It was the second plenary panel discussion of three panel discussion, and was held on the second day respectively. There were four panelists in the discussion, Prof. Shinhye Kim, PKETA President, Korea, Prof. Utami Widiati, TEFLIN President, Indonesia, Mr. Alvin Pang, RELC Director, Singapore and Prof. Nguyen Hao, VietTESOL President, Vietnam, and was moderated by Jerrold Frank (RELO, US Embassy).
The conference was held virtually via Zoom on 18th to 20th February 2022 with the theme, “Changing Approaches and Expanding Dimensions in Global ELT”. It was hosted in Cambodia by IDP Education. The conference is held annually, aiming to assess challenges and issues surrounding English Language Teaching, as well as improving existing methods and approaches on the subject. It will be followed by the 19th CamTESOL conference in February next year.
