Amidst the serious attack of Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia, the needs of remote teaching and learning increases urgently. TEFLIN as the biggest association of English teachers in Indonesia has responded to this situation by giving a number of possible methods and techniques through online seminars and workshops to the English teachers of junior and senior high schools. This time TEFLIN of West Sumatra takes a role to contribute. A webinar adopting a theme about “Engaging Activities during Emergency Online English Teaching in Pandemic Era” will be conducted on October 10, 2020 with three invited speakers. Dr. Gumawang Jati, M.A. will discuss “Emergency Remote Teaching; Creating Engaging Activities with low bandwidth”, Refnita M.Pd will engage the participants with “You are not alone”: Making Students Interconnected in Pandemic Situation” and Drs. Andri Defrioka, M. Pd will come up with the issue of “English Language Teaching and Assessment during the Covid-19 Pandemic: What and How?”
