SRS-TEFLIN (TEFLIN Sumatra Selatan Chapter) has successfully hosted its 1st webinar series with the theme “Education amidst Pandemic Disruption: In Search of Effective Pedagogies”.
This webinar, held on Saturday, June 6th 2020 by using Zoom Meeting from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm, was guided by a moderator, Nova Lingga Pitaloka, M.Pd, an English lecturer of Universitas Sriwijaya. The webinar presented two great young Tefliners who are lecturers of English Education Study Program from two different universities in Southern Region of Sumatera (Sumbagsel). The first presenter was Sary Silvhiany, Ph.D, from Universitas Sriwijaya and the second was Artanti Puspita Sari, Ph.D., from Universitas PGRI Palembang. While Sary presented inequality and digital divide amidst school closure.

Artanti discussed her ideas about teaching and learning during quarantine. In addition, Prof. Chuzaimah D. Diem, Ed.D., the Coordinator of Sumatra Selatan Chapter, also gave her remarks in the Webinar showing her biggest support for the event. This webinar has amazingly earned high enthusiasm as the participants came from different regions in Indonesia like Aceh, Padang, Jambi, Banten, Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surakarta, Situbondo, Malang, Denpasar, Makassar, Parepare, Kupang, Ambon, and even from abroad like the Philippines. There were around 300 registered participants attending the Webinar and more than half of them gave very advantegeous feedbacks. Those attended the whole programs were given e-certificate as an appreciation from the committee.
